Making Smarter Decisions

Who among us hasn’t spent a sleepless night because of a hard decision we had to make? We fear that we will make the wrong choice and that it will have unfortunate consequences for us and perhaps for others as well. I have been there.

So that is why I was very excited to watch Ruth Chang’s TED Talk on making hard decisions. Ruth is a Professor and Chair of Jurisprudence at the University of Oxford, a Professorial Fellow of University College, Oxford, and an American professor of philosophy. In under 15 minutes she helped me to change how I look at hard choices. Have a look for yourself.

If you have another 13 minutes to invest, I recommend the TED Talk “Before You Decide: 3 Steps To Better Decision Making” by Matthew Confer. He is VP of Strategy & Business Development at Abilitie, a management consultancy based in Austin, Texas.

I personally think that watching both will be a decision well-made. Enjoy.
