Knowledge Sharing and the Johari Window

The Johari Window model (see http://www.chimaeraconsulting.com/johari.htm) was developed to explore how personality functions in interpersonal situations. But it also provides an excellent model for knowledge sharing. When two people share some of their knowledge, they not only inform one another but actually make it possible to reduce the things which were previously unknown to both. That reduces risk and leads to better solutions to today’s challenging problems.

Aware that my work as a coach, trainer and facilitator brings me into contact with a wide range of people who have enormous knowledge and experience. How exciting it would be if I could not only work with them individually but help them to share with each other!

This blog is an experiment in doing that, providing a communications platform where leaders in the corporate world and public sector can exchange experiences and ideas along with me and some of my fellow professionals in the field of training and development as well as with graduate students of leading universities.

Maybe you have never gotten involved with a blog. Well, it is about time. When you read something that triggers you to comment or share an experience of your own, you can do so and have it read by all those who follow or occasionally visit the blog.

Please invite others to visit and follow this blog. The more readers we have, the more contributors we expect and the richer the conversations.
