Yogurt and the anti-CEO Playbook

One of my great pleasures is looking for great TED Talks to bring to your attention. Today I have one for you.

Profit, money, shareholders: these are the priorities of most companies today. But at what cost? In an appeal to corporate leaders worldwide, a Turkish immigrant to the US who has become very successful calls for an end to the business playbook of the past — and shares his vision for a new, "anti-CEO playbook" that prioritizes people over profits. "This is the difference between profit and true wealth," he says.

I am intentionally avoiding his name or company because I think you will enjoy his story even more by waiting for him to reveal himself and what he has accomplished. In his modest but impassioned manner he takes on the generally accepted priorities of business and society, emphasizing the placement of employees and communities before profit. One of his greatest passions is the inclusion of refugees and immigrants as employees in his US-based company which is one of the fastest-growing in the food industry. 30% of his employees are refugees and immigrants. Here is an interview about this subject:

And here is a link to his initiative, the Tent Partnership for Refugees. https://www.tent.org/
